Community Missions
Each month, the people of the Oregon UMC donate food and other items to support ongoing missions within our own communities. Both the food donations for Hope House and the various goods donations for Festival of Sharing are delivered monthly to Hope House Ministries in Forest City. These donations are used to serve the needs of people within the South Holt area. In 2010, the church collected nearly $1,400 worth of food and goods through the loving kindness of our congregation. Donations for April:

Festival of Sharing
Student Dental Health Kit
4 – 6 Toothbrushes
1 - Large Floss
Family-size Fluoride Toothpaste
Hope House
Canned or Boxed Soup

Meals on Wheels
Different community organizations and people alike help to provide daily nourishment to those who receive meals. The Oregon UMC is one of those groups. You can help provide nourishment for these individuals by signing up to deliver meals. Remember that you are not only delivering meals, you are checking on those you receive the meals to make sure they are ok and you are providing a brief moment of companionship not only to them, but for yourself as well. As God directs your heart to help with this vital ministry, PLEASE call Marjorie Polaski at 446-2213 to get your name placed on our volunteers' list.  God will richly bless you for the work that you do on behalf of our church and in God's name. The Oregon UMC delivers meals one week a month. Surely you have one day a month you can help with this important ministry. Contact Marge for more information.

Mozambique Sunday
